Propagation of Phalaenopsis in peat
One of our course participants successfully propagated his Phalaenopsis in peat pellets.

Procedure:
- soak the peat pellets in tap water
- put the expanded pellets into a plastic container, fill the space between the pellets with silica sand and pour some tap water + coconut water into the plastic container
- put the plastic container into the microwave oven (we didn´t get any informations about time and intensity)
- put some moss into the sand (when it´s cold)
- cut the flower stalk about 2cm above and below the node
- remove the covering bracts
- put the nodes into the pellets
- cover the plastic pot with plastic foil and put the container under plant light
